Worcester, Bosch Group has increased investment in the facilities at Darlington College as part of its commitment to providing first class training for the next generation of engineers.

With the construction department having already seen a £2 million investment into the teaching environment and a new Gas Training Centre under Worcester’s College Links programme, the manufacturer has added a full range of state of the art condensing oil boilers to enrich the training of local engineers and apprentices.

As well as continuing to help local installers and apprentices stay in tune with the latest technology, legislation, fault finding and best practice, the improvements will allow college tutors and Worcester’s training engineers to explain the latest generation of technology linking heating systems to mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets.

Martyn Bridges, director of marketing and technical support, said: “Worcester partners with numerous colleges throughout the UK and Darlington College is one of five to be given the College Links Plus status through our affiliation partnership with the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers (CIPHE).

“This will allow Darlington College tutors and apprentices alike to access the benefits of CIPHE membership at no cost to the college, which I know will be a much-valued resource.”
