The Worshipful Company of Plumbers has opened applications for its tools and equipment Bursary scheme. Bursaries are for student plumbers who would benefit from financial assistance as a direct result of progressing to S/NVQ Level 3 MES Plumbing or equivalent. In England this is following completion of a Level 2 qualification.
The company offers Bursaries of up to £,1000 to assist students to buy costly tools and equipment. This is awarded in vouchers for tools and equipment only. It cannot be used to offset any course fees provided by an employer.
Students are encouraged to apply directly but must have a reference from their lecturer or employer. Professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, CIPHE, training providers and employers are encouraged to support students who, in their opinion, meet the criteria and would therefore merit consideration as possible recipients of a Bursary.
To apply, candidates need to return a completed application form, provide proof of registration, including the enrolment number with the awarding body for S/NVQ Level 3 MES Plumbing or equivalent, along with proof of completion of S/NVQ Level 2 MES Plumbing.
