Gledhill’s Midlands expansion prompts move to larger depot

GledhillGledhill, the cylinder specialist, is investing in a new 5,457 sq ft depot to increase its manufacturing and service capacity in the region.

Located just off junctions one and two of the M5, at the Springfield Estate, in Oldbury, the new depot will replace Gledhill’s Dudley depot and the existing team will relocate to the new, larger premises, ensuring continuity of service for customers.

Terry Cooper-Haime, depot manager, said: “The new site will enable us to increase stockholding of our StainlessLite Unvented and Stainless Vented cylinders, ensuring that we can always keep our promise of same-day collection or next-day delivery on a wide range of cylinders.

“It will also allow us to increase our manufacturing capacity for bespoke copper cylinders as we continue to lead the market on custom-specified items with our Gledhill Rapide service.”

Managing director, Jason Hobson, said: “This investment is part of our strategic approach to ensure that we can offer customers excellent geographical coverage and a prompt reliable service across both our standard ranges and bespoke cylinders.”
