Around 8,000 homes in Carronshore, Larbert, Skinflats and Stenhousemuir, in Falkirk, are without gas today after a fault with provider SGN’s gas governor.
This issue has been affecting many, but not all, properties within the FK2 and FK5 postcode areas since yesterday.
Falkirk Council stepped in to help the supplier deliver electric heating and cooking appliances to those without heating, as the outage was expected to continue for a number of days.
