ATAG boilers opens sales channels to independent merchants

ATAG boilers has expanded its distribution network to include plumbing and heating merchants.

The firm is widening the business to make it easier for Gas Safe registered companies to provide its boilers to customers. Previously, ATAG had only sold its boilers directly to its selected partners.

But to give wider, same day availability of its products, ATAG’s range is now stocked in a range of local, independent merchants as part of a reach-out strategy.

Its boilers are now in more than 30 independent merchants with over 100 branches around the UK. ATAG is also set to reach out to more merchants in the next 12 months to stock the ‘built to last’ product, which has a lifespan of around 18 years.

The boilers are only sold to Gas Safe registered businesses to ensure that they are all professionally installed.

Trevor Jones, managing director of ATAG Heating Technology, says: “We have listened to installers about how to make life easier and we know that for some, it’s more convenient to nip into their local merchant to pick up an ATAG boiler.

“It’s been essential that we found merchant partners who shared our values of only selling to Gas Safe registered professionals and this is how we will look to grow the distribution network further in future.

“With this approach, everyone wins – convenience for installers, great commercial terms for merchants and homeowners can be confident that they are getting a great boiler, installed by a legally qualified engineer.”
