The summer months may be traditionally quiet for heating engineers – but CORGI HomePlan is keeping its network of 5,000 engineers super busy.

The boiler and heating cover company has revealed that the value of servicing and breakdown jobs carried out by its engineer network from May until August is £4.5 million.

This is a vital boost to the thousands of independent businesses who make up the CORGI HomePlan network as they have guaranteed levels of work throughout the year.

The number of jobs carried out has increased due to CORGI HomePlan’s customer base, jumping by 31% across the UK in 2014.

Since its formation in 2011, CORGI HomePlan has grown into a £35 million turnover business and is on target to hit £100 million turnover inside seven years of formation.

Kevin Treanor, director of CORGI HomePlan, said: “One of CORGI HomePlan’s key strengths is the expertise and trust of its nationwide independent engineer network.

“Customers like having someone local come on a callout, while for our engineers the volume of work we provide continues to grow significantly year on year with no sign of slowing down.

“Servicing and repairs during the traditionally quieter months are vital to a small business – I know because I used to work as a heating engineer myself – and because we pay our installer network within seven days, it’s an arrangement that works perfectly.”
