Steve Willis Training Centres marked this year’s National Apprenticeship Week by opening the doors of their Portchester and Burgess Hill Training Centres for two apprenticeship open mornings.

Lots of young people and their families came along to see the centres and find out about gas, plumbing and electrical apprenticeships.

As well as going on tours of the centres, they had the chance to get hands on in the gas and electrical workshops.

The trainers were on hand to answer any questions. They also explained how an apprenticeship is a great option for school leavers who want to earn while they learn, with support from experienced professional trainers who will guide them every step of the way.

Steve Willis Training supports National Apprenticeship Week as it is the perfect opportunity to showcase what an apprenticeship can offer a young person just starting out on their career. It also raises awareness with employers that taking on an apprentice can be a cost effective way to meet staffing needs now and to plan for the future.
