Specflue launch training website for heating engineers

Specflue has launched a new training websiteRenewable heat and solid fuel training provider, Specflue, has launched a new-look website that allows installers and engineers to easily find and book courses online.

From searching for training to making online bookings and payments, the new website gives installers and engineers access to over 20 courses that support the development of skills needed to work with solid fuel and renewable heating appliances. The streamlined website has been designed to be easily viewable on handheld devices, meaning courses can be booked straight from desktop, tablet or smart phone.

Jed Smith, head of business support services at Specflue, said: “We place great importance on training and aim to make the route to certification as easy as possible for engineers and installers. Our new website helps make these steps even easier, as it offers a full range of HETAS accredited solid fuel courses and BPEC, Microgeneration Certification Scheme and MCZ/RED renewable heating courses that can be booked straight from a handheld device.”

The website provides information on course content, pre-requisites and assessment information, as well as duration and cost. Dates can be viewed in list or calendar view, along with availability, and once a course is ready to be booked, places can be reserved and paid for online.

Adding to the website’s functionality is a Live Chat function that offers live help from the customer service team, who is on hand to provide advice on training details and bookings. For multi-day courses, users can also find details on local accommodation.

Specflue’s training centre is one of the largest and most comprehensive in the UK. The head office based in Sudbury, Suffolk, has two centres both fully equipped and finished to ensure a productive training environment. Training at the centres offer the opportunity to see, touch and experience working solid fuel and renewable appliances, including stoves, cookers, open fires, pellet stoves, biomass boilers, heat pumps, thermal stores, solar systems, underfloor heating and fully integrated building management systems.
