Innasol, the biomass company, has saved its customers more than £17 million on their energy bills through the installation of more than 3,500 biomass boilers and heat pumps across the country. This equates to erasing the annual gas bills of over 22,600 UK households.

Innasol’s green renewable heating solutions have also resulted in savings of more than 143 million kg in carbon. The equivalent to taking more than 91,000 cars off the road for a year, and plays a large role in edging the UK closer to its 2020 energy targets. Out of the 1.8GW deployed under the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme, Innasol has installed 350MW.

The 3,500 renewable heating installations have been carried out by Innasol’s nationwide partner network of 2,000 expert energy installers, who advise consumers up and down the country, switching out fossil fuel burners for clean, green, sustainable technologies and following up with expert aftercare.

Silvio Spiess, CEO of Innasol, said: “Awareness of renewable heating solutions and the government’s green energy initiatives is on the rise. As a result, more and more people are making the switch to carbon neutral biomass boilers or 400% efficient heat pumps. We’re proud to part of an industry that is helping the environment, as well as saving consumers more of their hard-earned money.”

Switching to renewable heating slashes up to 45% off homeowners’ heating bills and hugely reduces household carbon emissions. Over the past five years, it has entered the UK’s mainstream UK energy mix thanks in part to the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s RHI which offers financial incentives to consumers in exchange for switching to renewable heating.
