Drayton provides go-to solution for installers with its range of motorised valves

Drayton

Drayton motorised valves are the obvious choice for installers, looking to manage the flow of water into different circuits, each with their own heating and water control. Designed by the manufacturer with over 75 years’ experience and made in the UK, the comprehensive range of motorised valves that guarantee simplified installation, maintenance and replacement.

Three key reasons installers choose Drayton motorised valves:

  1. Simple installation

All of Drayton’s motorised valves have a ‘snap-on’ actuator which guarantees a straightforward installation process for heating engineers. This feature means that the head can simply be detached and moved even when the valve is working.

Regardless of whether installers are working on a new or existing system, all Drayton motorised valves come with the same industry-standard wiring and dimensions for easy installation, making them the ideal addition to any job.

  1. Straightforward replacement and repair process

Drayton prioritised simplifying system repairs and maintenance when designing its motorised valves. For instance, if only a replacement actuator is required, this can be switched out without the need for installers to drain down the entire system.

The actuators, one of the most popular features of the motorised valves, also deliver 100% tight shut-off due to the spring return and internal synchronous motor. Additionally, the operating life of the motorised valves is further improved by the easily replaceable synchronous motor.

Drayton motorised valves streamline fault finding for installers too, as the manual lever and position indicator means they can swiftly identify the position of the valve.

When it comes to retrofitting, the dimensions of the motorised valves’ body have been precisely designed to ensure that the product can seamlessly replace existing valves that need to be swapped out.

  1. Excellent reliability

Boasting outstanding reliability, longevity and durability, Drayton motorised valves are manufactured in the UK and specifically designed for homes in the UK. For extra peace of mind, Drayton offers an 18-month warranty or, for installers registering products through Drayton Rewards+, an extended 5-year warranty.

Choosing the right motorised valve for your job

There are two configurations of Drayton’s motorised valves – 2 port and 3 port – and selecting the correct model is dependent on the type of system that is being built and installed.

Bi Flo Y plan – A Bi Flo Y plan requires a 3-port body and should be fitted after the pump.

Twin Zone or Multi Zone S plan – For either of these systems, 2-port valves will be required, as each circuit needs its own motorised valve. When creating a system with a zone of wet underfloor heating, a Multi Zone plan would allow for this.

All motorised valves in Drayton’s range are available to buy in two sizes for 22 and 28-millimetre copper, with compression fittings. The valve bodies and actuators can be bought separately, or as a bundle of a head and body.
