Plumber of the Year 2015 competition launched

JT, shower tray manufacturer, and Bristan, the shower and tap company, have joined forces to reveal a brand new competition to find the UK’s Plumber of the Year 2015.
The two bathroom giants are calling on plumbers across the land to enter in a bid to find Britain’s finest. The competition has been designed to reward and acknowledge the talents of the UK’s finest plumbers and ask entrants to demonstrate their plumbing, service and business skills.
Stage 1
Entrants are invited to register their interest for the prize at: www.UKplumberoftheyear.com where they will be sent an easy-to-complete application form. Entrants have up until May 13 to enter their application for their chance to become the first UK Plumber of the Year and be rewarded with a substantial prize pool.
Stage 2
Ten lucky entrants will be picked by a panel of esteemed judges from JT, Bristan, sponsors and the media, to become regional finalists. They will be encouraged to get as many votes as possible at this stage and will undergo an interview process to talk about their campaign as to why they should be picked as the winner. Prizes will be given for the regional finalists.
Stage 3
The overall winner will be announced in September where they win £5,000 worth of JT and Bristan products, a session with a marketing company on how to maximise the award and support their trade profile/business, a CAT smart-phone for a year and a CK Tools C.K Magma Open Tote – as well as the honour of becoming the first ever UK Plumber of the Year.
Paul Crossley, managing director of JT, said:
“We’ve always wanted to reward our hard-working plumbers who dedicate thousands of hours solving problems and building beautiful bathrooms. We’re delighted to working with Bristan and our other partners to launch this UK first competition.”
Ian Hansell, general manager at Bristan, said:
“We’re very excited to launch this new initiative with JT. We really do have some of the most hardworking, talented plumbers here in the UK, so it is great to have an opportunity to give them the credit they deserve.”
