Safety & Compliance Conference line-up announced

This September marks the return of ASCP’s Scottish conference and exhibition, bringing to Perthshire the UK’s only event dedicated to supporting safety and compliance professionals within the social housing and facilities management sector.

Formerly the AGSM Scotland Conference, the ASCP Safety & Compliance Conference Scotland will welcome industry leading voices, at an all-day event hosted at one of Scotland’s notable hotels, Crieff Hydro.

Taking place on the 26 September, the conference is set to bring together industry experts, a handpicked selection of exhibitors and a host of safety and compliance professionals for a day of learning and networking.

Offering attendees expert advice and thought provoking technical insights from some of the leading voices across the various sectors, keynote speakers include Dave Forrester, head of technical Services at SELECT, Professor Roger Willey, managing director, ACS Risk, and Jemma Tennant, operational manager, City of Edinburgh Council.

There will also be talks including a focus on electrical duties, responses to the Government’s building safety consultation document, a re-cap on the industry changing regulation 36A MOT style gas servicing, as well as inspirational discussions around the handling of fire, asbestos and legionella related issues.

The event also includes a dedicated working lunch session for ASCP’s Women in Compliance, an association dedicated to empowering women working within the safety and compliance sector. The lunch will include inspirational guest speakers and invaluable networking time.

Commenting on this year’s event, Claire Heyes, CEO of the ACSP, said: “Each year we endeavour to bring you an event that exceeds expectations and we’re confident that this year’s conference does just that! Last year’s inaugural event was really well received by both members and delegates, so we’re looking forward to building on that success, delivering key insights from experts across the field.”
