PTS gets a grand slam for charity

ptsA collection of local branches of Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS) recently ‘lined up’ deserving customers from around the south Wales area to attend two Six Nations matches, while raising over £1,300 for its official partner charities, Mind and Cruse Bereavement Care.

With the backing of its loyal base of manufacturers and suppliers, PTS branches in south Wales and the south west invited over 80 local customers to attend the Wales versus Ireland, and Wales versus England rugby matches held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

As well as enjoying the sporting spectacle, attendees generously contributed to the charity funds thanks to collections by the PTS staff and fun activities such as ‘guess the score’.

Iain Hunter, regional director at PTS, said:

“We’re so grateful for the support of our suppliers who helped us during this event, and enabled us to thank some of our most loyal customers, while raising money for two fantastic causes.

“There was such a good atmosphere on the day, with everyone being so generous, for example the winner of the ‘guess the score’ activity kindly put the winnings back into the charity tin. We’d like to thank all of our local customers who attended on the day and dug deep into their pockets to donate, while also making it a thoroughly enjoyable and fun event for all involved.”
