Mira Showers has announced the release of its 2024 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report.

The company stated its new ESG report showcases its goals, whilst emphasising the importance of businesses working to create sustainable and innovative practices that drive meaningful change.

Emma Foster, managing director of Mira Showers, said: “Our dedication to having a positive impact on our people, planet, and communities continues to be a core business ethos. Since the launch of our first-ever ESG report last year, we’ve been working hard to continue bringing this ethos to life and drive tangible change, not just in our business but across the whole industry.

“I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made in the last year, and am looking forward to seeing sustainability become even more embed in our daily operations.”

The report highlighted Mira Showers’s acquisition of Recoup Energy Solutions, a supplier of waste water heat recovery products. The brand said that this acquisition not only cements its commitment to adding innovation to its portfolio but also provides consumers, installers and specifiers with a range of sustainable products to help reduce waste and energy usage.

The launch of products that educate and enable more sustainable water use also featured in the report, the company noted. Mira Platinum is a digital shower yet which allows users to monitor their water usage in real time and set targets to tackle the issue of water scarcity, the report noted. Similarly, Mira Sport uses the brand’s improved Airboost technology that infuses water with air to create a more powerful flow without using any more water.

It revealed that Mira Showers’ National Distribution Centre is now completely carbon neutral, thanks to the installation of over 1,800 solar panels. The brand also achieved the National Equality Standard, it cited.

Emma added: “While we’ve made significant progress this year, we will continue to challenge ourselves to continue making incremental changes that have a positive impact on our customer’s lives, our communities and the planet.”

The report mentioned the Future Homes Hub, which is an initiative dedicated to addressing climate and environmental challenges in the manufacturing sector. Mira Showers stated that it has become a member of the Hub to collaborate on developing innovative solutions that benefit both customers and the environment.
