JTL urges learners and employers to build for a better future

This National Apprenticeship Week (8-14th February), national training provider JTL is encouraging both learners and employers to act now to build for a better future.

JTL is promoting National Apprenticeship Week as an opportunity for learners to renew their aspirations and build skills in a bid to boost employment chances and ensure a prosperous future.

After a year of challenges and uncertainty, JTL is encouraging employers to rebuild their business for a “brighter and better” future by utilising the incentives being offered by government of up to £3,000 for taking on an apprentice before the end of March.

JTL’s chief executive Jon Graham said: “Since JTL was established in 1990, we have trained around 60,000 apprentices in the building services engineering sector, witnessing thousands of people reach their potential and progress in a variety of careers they love. Yet, this past year, JTL has recognised more than ever the pivotal role trade professionals play in carrying out essential work, with apprentices proving invaluable during the on-going pandemic.

“And, as we all hope, we start to conquer this virus, traditional trade roles will be needed more than ever, and apprentices will continue to address skills gaps whilst creating sustainable employment opportunities across countless sectors. As part of JTL’s support to ensure a pipeline of skilled tradespeople, we are on-hand to speak to employers who are keen to invest in the training and development of an apprentice.”

JTL currently has 8,000 learners and works with over 3,5000 businesses to train up apprentices.
