HomeServe acquires John Wilkinson Heating Services

HomeServe has continued its expansion into the domestic gas boiler service and support market with the acquisition of Merseyside-based company John Wilkinson Heating Services.

John Wilkinson Heating, which has 20 staff based in their offices on Merseyside, will retain the John Wilkinson name and continue to operate as currently. The business was founded by John Wilkinson 30 years ago.

Richard Shepherd, HomeServe’s managing director of installations, said: “With the acquisition of John Wilkinson Heating Services, HomeServe is continuing to build its portfolio of local, well-run, and well-established domestic heating firms that have a great customer base.”

John Wilkinson added: “I’m looking forward to being part of HomeServe. We have built a strong and profitable local business in John Wilkinson with a fantastic team and brilliant, loyal customers.

“Becoming part of a global FTSE 250 organisation like HomeServe gives us long-term stability and a broader opportunity to grow. And under our own successful brand too which is great news for the team and for our customers.”
