The Homebuilding & Renovating Show is set to return to the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh, on 3 and 4 October 2026.
The show will have a focus on energy efficiency. According to a statement, exhibitors will help visitors navigate everything from heating and heat pumps to insulation, ventilation, solar energy, battery storage and smart home technology.
David Hilton, heating and eco expert at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show, will present “Upgrading Your Home Heating: boiler, heat pump or both?”. He has more than 35 years of industry experience and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture. David will explore the choices facing homeowners when upgrading their heating and the factors they need to consider.
Visitors can also hear “Heat Pumps Explained: Facts, Myths and Real World Comfort” from Daikin UK and “Heat Pump Sizing & System Design Simplified” from IMS Heat Pumps.
The show will look beyond heating too. Sessions including “Building Airtight, Ventilate Right” and “The Ultimate MVHR Guide: Avoiding the Industry’s Mistakes” will explore how insulation, airtightness and ventilation work together to create a comfortable and energy efficient home.
Owners of Scotland’s older properties can discover how to balance energy efficiency with the particular needs of traditional buildings in “Heritage Meets Performance: Transforming Historic Buildings for a More Energy Efficient Future”.
Energy related exhibitors include IMS Heat Pumps, Source Energy Heat Pumps Scotland, Daikin, Octopus Energy and Ceiba Renewables. They will cover areas including heat pumps, solar energy and battery storage.
Visitors can also access free 15 minute one to one consultations with experts at the show’s Advice Centre, as well as seminars and masterclasses included with admission.
