The HIP Female Skills Competition 2024 commenced late last month.
HIP will be travelling to three regional locations over the next few weeks in search of the best upcoming talent within the industry, a statement said. In each location, 12 learners will “battle it out” in a live practical test, it noted. A winner and runner-up will be chosen from each Regional Heat to go through to the Grand Final in April.
The 2024 Regional Heats schedule:
– South: Bath College, Tuesday 27 February
– Midlands: Leicester College, Tuesday 5 March
– North: Kirklees College, Thursday 7 March
For a second year running, Jerry Whiteley from CIPHE will be the head judge of the competition.
Last year’s winner, Tiffany Baker from Group Llandrillo Menai, said: “It’s definitely been a good experience and built my confidence.”
