Haier and Passiv UK have announced a new partnership that will see the Passiv Smart Thermostat integrate directly with Haier heat pumps.
An exclusive Haier and Passiv Smart Thermostat bundle will be available through Plumb Centre branches.
The thermostat comes with a dedicated app and in-home controls. According to a company statement, it improves efficiency by 17%, as verified by the Energy Saving Trust. It can also optimise energy use in line with time-of-use tariffs and rooftop solar generation, the statement added.
For installers, the statement said that the partnership reduces complexity on-site by making heat pump installation quicker and easier. The thermostat removes the need to configure a weather compensation curve, it noted, which saves time and reduces setup errors.
