Gripple welcomed TikTok personality Steve Bracknall to an evening event with its customers and colleagues.
The event took place at the GLIDE and consisted of pub quizzing, charity raffles, darts, followed by a pie and pea dinner. Nearly £700 was raised for the Weston Park Cancer Charity, Gripple’s chosen charity of the year.
According to a statement, Steve has built a huge following online as assistant manager of Royal Oak FC due to his offbeat pre-match team talks. Gripple is the official sponsor of Steve’s Royal Oak Football Club for the 2025/26 season.
The GLIDE was transformed into the Royal Oak FC clubhouse with football-themed decorations.
Joe Farrar, UK & Ireland sales director at Gripple, said: “Construction is a serious industry, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a bit of fun along the way. Our work depends on strong relationships with installers and our distribution partners, and this event was a great way to say thanks and to spend time together away from the day job. Steve brought a brilliant energy to the night, and it was great to see customers from across the industry enjoying themselves.”
One customer added: “I’ve had a lovely evening tonight. The quiz was brilliant and it was great to meet Steve.”
Another said: “We’ve also raised a bit of money for charity tonight – people are having a good laugh too.”
Steve added: “It’s been a great night. I’m a people person, so it’s nice to be in a room with people, look into their eyes and really get to know them.”
