Geberit launches new shower toilet in milestone year

Geberit has marked its 150th anniversary year with the launch of a new more affordable shower toilet.

Designer Christoph Behling, a consultant with experience working with brands including Tag and Nokia, presented latest Geberit ranges during a gathering in Warwick.

The AquaClean Alba was described by the company as an “elegant yet affordable shower toilet designed to bring the company’s renowned hygiene and comfort features to a broader range of customers so they too can experience washing with water”.

Its functions still include Geberit’s patented ‘WhirlSpray’, the quiet TurboFlush 2.0 and a rimless ceramic design to ensure optimum cleaning of the pan.

AquaClean Alba offers heated water for the cleansing experience and includes a remote control with wall bracket and integration with the Geberit Home app. The model is compatible with all Geberit installation systems, Monolith modules and AquaClean design panels, the company said.

Sophie Weston, head of marketing at Geberit, said: “Shower toilets are becoming increasingly popular in modern bathroom designs. With the addition of the Geberit AquaClean Alba to our portfolio, we’re making premium Geberit design and market-leading functionality accessible to every project, regardless of budget.”

As part of Geberit’s 150-year celebrations, the company is holding customer and employee events throughout 2024, plus an internal initiative for 150 acts of kindness, explained Geberit UK & Ireland managing director Mark Larden.

He added: “At Geberit, we pride ourselves on taking a good thing and making it great. This has been our credo since day one and in doing so, we always put our customers at the centre of everything we do. Over the past 150 years, Geberit’s values and objectives haven’t changed, despite growing from a small family business to the European market leader for sanitary products.

“We’re proud to be celebrating Geberit’s 150-year anniversary this year with our employees, customers and business partners at various events throughout the year. The celebrations include new product development, product launches and the release of an anniversary as well as a book about the company’s history, allowing stakeholders to reminisce about the past and look forward to a future filled with continued success.”
