Liquid Gas UK has launched its Young Person in LPG Awards for 2026.
The awards, sponsored by Vaillant, were launched at the Installer Show in Birmingham. Entries opened on 24 June and are set to close on 2 October 2026.
Now in its sixth year, Liquid Gas UK said the initiative recognises people aged 35 and under who are making a significant contribution to the industry. This can be through technical expertise, customer service, innovation, leadership or a commitment to supporting the sector’s transition to renewable liquid gases.
Mark Wilkins, technology and solutions portfolio director at Vaillant, said: “We’re so proud to be supporting the Young Person in LPG awards again this year.
“Young people are vital to the future of the LPG industry, and we really enjoy seeing the steps they’re taking to further both their own careers and the industry itself.
“It’s exciting to be part of recognising and celebrating their achievements through these awards.”
Nominations can be submitted by colleagues or by individuals themselves. All entries will be reviewed by a judging panel, with the winner and runner-up announced at Liquid Gas UK’s annual conference on 5 November in Manchester.
Philippa Lois-Smith, regional digital marketing manager at AvantiGas, who was last year’s winner, added: “Winning this award last year meant a great deal to me. It was incredibly rewarding to be recognised for the impact my digital expertise and ideas have had on our business and customer campaigns.
“I’m passionate about enhancing the digital capabilities of an industry that still has significant opportunities for transformation, and I enjoy finding innovative ways to help move the LPG sector forward.
“I believe young professionals should be celebrated for the fresh perspectives and innovation they bring to the industry. What made the award even more special was that I didn’t enter myself; I was secretly nominated by my director, making the recognition all the more meaningful.”
George Webb, CEO of Liquid Gas UK, said: “The Young Person in LPG Awards are an important opportunity to recognise the people who are already making a real difference in our industry.
“Each year, we see young professionals bringing fresh thinking, energy and commitment to LPG and renewable liquid gases. As the sector continues to evolve, it is vital that we continue to support and celebrate the individuals who will help lead it forward.”
