DiscreteHeat has launched a series of online training modules for its ThermaSkirt system.

Those who complete the training can become ThermaSkirt registered installers. There are three modules to complete and each module is broken down into ‘bite-sized chunks of easily digestible information’, a statement said.

Module one provides a product and component overview. According to DiscreteHeat, it explains the technical aspects of ThermaSkirt and gives all the features and benefits for both the installer and their customers.

The second module is more ‘hands-on’, it noted. Carl Barrington, the company’s installation manager, demonstrates the step-by-step process of how to install a wet ThermaSkirt system.

Finally, module three explains how to specify, design and quote for a system. It also introduces the online portal that is accessible to registered installers. DiscreteHeat said that installers can use the portal to add customers, provide professional-looking quotes using their own contact details and logos, as well as giving access to exclusive offers.

Once all three modules have been completed, installers are eligible to become a registered installer and start using the ThermaSkirt trade-only online portal. They will also receive priority technical support by phone or WhatsApp, the company said.

The next level is Accredited Installer. To qualify, DiscreteHeat said installers can join it for a training and assessment day, either at the company’s training centre in Manchester or at one of its partners’ training facilities across the UK. On successful completion, DiscreteHeat will add their details to its ‘Find an Installer’ map on its website.

When they’ve completed 10 ThermaSkirt installations, they can join the exclusive rank of ‘Professional Installer’. For this, they will receive priority leads in their area and exclusive marketing support from our in-house team to boost their business.

Ethan Wadsworth, director of sales and marketing, said: “Since opening up our Registered Installer programme last year we have been pleased and amazed by the huge number of heating engineers who have been interested and want to join – there’s obviously an appetite for an innovative heating offer for their customers.

“This online ‘Introduction to ThermaSkirt’ course is very accessible, and explains how skirting board heating works and how it is installed. It’s a great way for interested installers to get a taste of all the benefits before signing up.”
