Daikin opens sustainable home centre in North Wales

Daikin UK has opened its first Sustainable Home Centre in North Wales, in partnership with the merchant Thorncliffe Building Supplies.

Dr James Davies, pictured, MP for the Vale of Clwyd, attended the opening alongside Tim Harper and the team at Thorncliffe.

The new centre in Dyserth, North Wales, will give homeowners the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Daikin’s air source heat pump technology and sit down with an expert before being partnered with a trusted local installer.

The centre will also house a heat pump training centre, to help local installers enhance the services they offer.

Iain Bevan, commercial manager at Daikin UK, said: “It’s important that homeowners who want to go green can find the best solution for their household’s heating and hot water needs. Being able to explore and discuss heat pump technology in person is vital, as is knowing that it will be installed by a highly-trained professional.

“We’ve enjoyed getting to know the team at Thorncliffe Building Supplies over the past 12 months, and we’re delighted that their Daikin Sustainable Home Centre is now open. We’re confident that together, we can make a significant contribution towards our national net zero targets.

“With the recent launch of the BUS, we hosted an installer webinar outlining all the details – and will continue to support installers with training and membership of the Sustainable Home Network at our industry-leading training centres around the UK, including this latest addition in North Wales.”
