Continued expansion of Plumbfix’s store network planned for 2015

screwfixTrade supplier, Plumbfix, is due to open at least 50 more stores in 2015, adding to its existing nationwide network of over 350 stores, which are exclusive to qualified plumbers and heating engineers.

Established to service qualified plumbers and gas installers, Plumbfix has worked closely with industry bodies such as Gas Safe Register, CIPHE and OFTEC to support trade professionals. The business has used the infrastructure of its parent company, Screwfix, to ensure its customers get products at fixed prices, as quickly and as easily as possible.

Plumbfix offer a product range of more than 23,000 items, which have been developed to meet the needs of qualified gas engineers and plumbers. Customers can benefit from next day delivery on orders placed before 7pm, or pick up their goods just five minutes later at a local store with its click and collect service.

Sandra Everett, senior marketing manager at Plumbfix, said: “Thanks to the support of our customers, Plumbfix has seen great success since its first store opened its doors. We now employ over 1,400 staff in Plumbfix stores as well as offering a dedicated team of 24 in our contact centre.

“2015 will see us expand further, bringing our convenient service to the doorsteps of even more qualified plumbers and heating engineers than ever before, so they can get hold of quality products at low fixed prices at a time that suits them.”

The new stores planned for 2015 will also provide around 100 new employment opportunities across its store network.
