Continental Underfloor relocates…

continentalTo facilitate its ambitious post-recession growth strategy, Continental Underfloor, the UK’s largest specialist direct supplier of energy efficient underfloor heating systems to the trade, is relocating to new, larger premises in Cornwall.

After ten years in Bude the company is moving its head office to the Pennygillam Industrial Estate at Launceston. The move comes after a period of significant growth, which has seen the team grow to 22 employees and several new product lines added to the business’ portfolio.

With easier access to transport links, the new location will be more convenient for customers and employees, helping to ensure the business can continue to provide a reliable next day delivery service across the UK. The new premises have been refitted to provide 3,000 sq ft of warehouse space, enabling Continental to hold larger quantities of stock, and 5,000 sq ft of office space to accommodate the growing sales and technical support teams.

Chris Ingram, founder and MD of Continental, said: “Since we established 15 years ago, we have grown into a leading national company, winning several business awards for our investment in technology and IT along the way.”

“Over the last few years, we have been growing and developing to adapt to the changing needs of the market, and as a result we have outgrown our old premises. The new office is vital in helping us to achieve our ambitious growth plans, which will see us expand our range of products, grow our team and improve our customer service even further.”

Ahead of the official opening by Dan Rogerson MP in November, Continental has recruited seven new technical sales advisors and expects to recruit another 12 people within the next four months.
