Checkatrade Express

Checkatrade has launched Checkatrade Express, a new online booking service.

Designed for the tasks people often put off, Checkatrade stated that its new service combines checked tradespeople with instant pricing, online booking and secure digital payments.

Services offered range from oven cleaning and door hanging to garden clearance and gutter cleaning.

Jack Steiner, general manager for Express at Checkatrade, said: “Small jobs can often come with surprisingly big hassle. Consumers can spend time waiting for replies, comparing quotes, or struggling to find someone willing to take on a quick fix. Checkatrade Express has been built to take that friction out of the process, giving customers a simple, transparent way to book help fast.

“Checkatrade Express has the potential to save Britons the chore of chasing quotes, waiting around for callbacks, and wondering who’ll actually take on the job. What might have once taken around three days, Express allows you to do in three minutes. This is home maintenance, reimagined for modern life.”

Customers start by describing the jobs they need doing and receive an instant upfront price before booking. They can combine multiple small tasks into one appointment, choose preferred time slots, including evenings and weekends, and pay securely through the Checkatrade platform.

Checkatrade then matches the booking with a trusted local tradesperson ready to complete the work.

Every tradesperson using Checkatrade Express is checked before taking on jobs and commits to upholding the Checkatrade Standard. This covers areas including workmanship, reliability and honest communication. Eligible jobs are also backed by the Checkatrade Guarantee.

For tradespeople, Checkatrade said the service offers a flexible way to take on smaller jobs without spending time quoting or chasing work. Tradespeople can choose the jobs they want to do, fit work around their schedules and know what they’ll earn upfront.
