British Gas has announced a new partnership with Broadford, a build to rent (BTR) property company, to help improve energy efficiency across the UK rental market.
According to a company statement, the partnership will deliver smarter homes designed to cut energy bills for renters and future-proofed properties for landlords.
The partnership is set to see British Gas provide a total solution for Broadford developments, spanning energy supply, installation and ongoing services. British Gas engineers will install a full suite of modern, energy efficient technologies including Samsung white goods, compatible smart technology and air source heat pumps. Solar PV panels will be installed by British Gas’ approved and accredited installation partners. The statement added that 29 plots have been completed with another 160 in development.
The collaboration is designed to support Broadford’s ambition to enhance both new build and existing properties.
As part of the partnership, British Gas will also provide comprehensive servicing, compliance and insurance cover, including heating system cover, electrical infrastructure and white goods protection, plumbing and drains.
