In line with promoting best practice across the construction industry the BPF (British Plastics Federation) Pipes Group has launched a series of lunchtime webinars, starting with ‘Making Connections to Polyethylene (PE) Water Pipes’ on 16 June.
Derek Muckle, who chairs the BPF Pipes Group’s Pressure Pipes and Jointing Group and is a past president of the Pipes Group, will present the first webinar at 12.00 noon. It will cover making connections to PE water mains with predictable asset lifetimes, no leaks or service interruptions and minimal disruption to traffic flows. Other webinars in the series include ‘Air Admittance Valves – An Introduction’ on 13 July, ‘The Right Choice – the Role of EPDs in the Selection of Pipes’ on 2 September, ‘The Role Plastic Pipes Will Play in the Delivery of Net Zero’ on 20 October and ‘Designing Drains and Sewers’ on 24 November.
