BDR Thermea Group, Baxi Heating’s parent company, has announced that its CEO, Bertrand Schmitt, will be stepping down with effect from 31 December 2023 to pursue other opportunities outside the company.

BDR Thermea Group will announce its new CEO in coming days.

Marc de Jong, BDR Thermea’s chair of supervisory board, said: “Bertrand’s relentless focus on bringing the Group strategy to life has allowed us to become a significant player in the field of heat pumps and hybrid systems, living our values of sustainable future, customer focus, and one team.

Marc continued: “His contributions to our company will certainly be remembered for years to come. On behalf of BDR Thermea Group, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Bertrand for his service and dedication.

“We are proud of what has been accomplished under his leadership, and we will carry forward the legacy that Bertrand has left us, building the next growth-chapter on the foundation he created during his tenure.”
