ATAG launches recruitment drive to meet demand

ATAG said it is growing its sales team nationwide following a strong bounce back from the coronavirus lockdown.

The boiler company said it was looking to grow its sales team by 50% across the UK to support its network of premium boiler installers.

The ATAG direct supply model has meant that installers do not need to visit merchants to buy boilers, with next day delivery in most places, and demand had been strong.

Sales in June were 53% up on the previous month, back to the levels they were at before coronavirus, while traffic to the ATAG website has also increased dramatically in June, with an uplift of 75%.

Although ATAG suffered a sales downturn in April and May, these were significantly lower than anticipated, it said, amid a slump across the industry in those months.

With demand swiftly returning among trades professionals and homeowners who had postponed projects during lockdown, ATAG said it was “making further improvements to its sales and delivery processes to provide installers with a 21st century buying experience with an Amazon-like online ordering process and rapid delivery”.

ATAG managing director Kevin Treanor said: “Lockdown has proved a challenge for the entire industry. But since restrictions have started to ease, we have seen demand for boilers soar – it’s incredible.

“ATAG boilers are the most efficient in Europe, built to last and ATAG Selected Partners (ASPs) get the benefits of being part of our family as we support each other and grow our businesses together.”
