Arctic Hayes has offered winter readiness advice for installers and plumbers as temperatures drop.
Plumbers and installers face three inevitable pressures during winter: more boiler breakdowns and heating system failures, increased need for rapid diagnostics and reliable tools, plus more outdoor and unheated space work requiring portable heat sources.
The company said that portable heaters reduce job time by preventing cold related delays and help installers stay productive and safe in cold lofts, garages, basements and outdoor workspaces, while the likes of leak detection fluids, smoke matches, CO spillage test tools and insulation aids are the everyday pieces of kit relied on more heavily during winter.
Meanwhile, professional service tools help installers identify faults quickly, reduce repeat visits and improve customer satisfaction during peak season. Arctic Hayes added that easy-to-use pipe freezing kits enable fast repairs without draining the system and reduce disruption for home and business owners.
Lee Parsons, unit business director for DiversiTech UK, encompassing Arctic Hayes, said: “Autumn and Winter especially matter because the colder months consistently drive demand for emergency callouts, heating system repairs, frozen pipe prevention and efficiency focused maintenance, but more often than not it’s the small tools that prevent the big problems.
“The exceptionally strong El Niño event developing in the Pacific is also set to have big implications for UK weather, with forecasters predicting wetter and stormier conditions, so installers increasingly need home protection tools that reduce risk, improve comfort, and speed up time on site. When the pressure is on it pays to be prepared, stocked up and ready for increased business.”
