Drayton, part of Schneider Electric, has announced its Wiser Radiator Thermostat has won a Red Dot Design Award, scooping the accolade in the Product Design category for outstanding innovation and functionality.

One of the key features praised by the judges was the twist top boost with spring back. This feature was designed by a Drayton engineer, and allows users to boost 2°C warmer or cooler for one hour by twisting the cap.

The slimline design was also noted, as it is said to be narrower in comparison to similar products by other manufacturers. The Wiser Radiator Thermostat can also be mounted on existing valves, making it an easy retrofit option.

Simon Fabri, engineering director, said: “We’re delighted that the Wiser Radiator Thermostat been awarded this esteemed prize, and is getting the recognition it deserves.

“The product has been designed with both the installer and the homeowner in mind, with minimal effort required for installation, but maximum functionality for the end user.”
