Terence Moulton, trading as Terry Moulton Building Services, was fined £800 with £924.32 costs at Birmingham and Solihull Magistrates’ Court, after he undertook gas work when not registered.
Moulton, of Cleeve Road, Yardley Wood, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to breaching Section 3 (1) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. He must also pay £80 victim surcharge.
The Health and Safety Executive brought the prosecution after he undertook gas work at a property in Grenville Road, Shirley, when he was not registered with the Gas Safe Register to undertake such work.
