Can underfloor heating (UFH) be connected to an existing sealed radiator type heating system?

Question from Tony Fitzpatrick, via e-mail:
Can underfloor heating (UFH) be connected to an existing sealed radiator type heating system? And given the constraints of flow temperatures for UFH, would it be possible to connect to the return circuit of the existing radiator system, as there would be an individual circulator to the UFH?

Answer from Martyn Bridges, director of marketing and technical support at Worcester, Bosch Group:
This is quite acceptable providing the correct equipment is used on the UFH system, zone valves, blending valves etc. It is also then advisable to use zone valves on the existing system as explained in the attached diagram, which is taken from industry documents available on the design of an UFH system.
