Westco has donated over £1,200 to the Children’s Burns Trust. The contribution resulted from a commitment by Westco to give the charity a percentage of the profits for every Safeguard Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) sold.

The Children’s Burns Trust works with NHS professionals and families across the UK to help fund rehabilitation and support for children living with burns.

The charity has thanked Westco for its support, which will go towards purchasing much-needed rehabilitation and play equipment for paediatric burns units. It will also provide direct support to children and their immediate families post-burn, and help the charity to deliver on its “Hot Water Burns like Fire” prevention messages.

Westco, managing director, Nick Horton, said: “At Westco, we’re are passionate about helping plumbers and installers to use the safest, most energy efficient products available, so it’s vital that we promote the importance of safety through the use of appropriate products. By supporting the Children’s Burns Trust, we’re not only raising funds for child burn victims, but also highlighting the importance of using the right TMVs and hopefully preventing accidents from happening in the first place. We’d like to pass on our thanks to our customers who have bought a Safeguard TMV and helped us to support this vital work.”
