Resideo to take on Graham in charity football match

The next leg of Resideo’s ongoing support for construction charity, Band of Builders, will see the manufacturer take on plumbing merchant, Graham Plumbers’ Merchant in a head-to-head football match.

Taking place at Ascot United Football Club on January 28th 2022, the charity match will see both teams field players from across their respective businesses to raise much needed funds for Band of Builders, it was confirmed this week.

The Resideo team is being managed by the business’ commercial leader, Martin Wilson, while technical training specialist, Scott Young, is taking charge of its training programme to ensure the team is match ready.

Organiser Daniel Kent, area sales manager at Resideo, said: “Football has always been brilliant at uniting people, so when it came to looking at how we could further support the incredible work that Band of Builders does for our industry, a charity football match seemed like the obvious choice. Yet, while it’s a charity match, that doesn’t mean we’re taking it any less seriously, and would love to see as many faces in the crowd cheering us on.”

Dominic Yeandle, for Graham Plumbers’ Merchant, said: “Giving back is something we’re always committed to doing, so when Resideo approached us about putting together a team to raise funds for Band of Builders we immediately accepted.

“Over the past few weeks our team has been putting in the hours at training to ensure the match is an exciting one – all in the name of a very worthy cause.”

In addition to the charity football match, Resideo will also be hosting a silent auction on the night, along with a raffle draw. Prizes have been donated by local businesses, including Graham Plumbers’ Merchant and include a signed England shirt by Declan Rice and a 4-ball round of golf at a choice of venues.

Tickets for the match are priced at £5 for 18 and over, £1 for 13 – 18 year olds and free entry for 12 and under and are only available on the gates on the day. Doors open at 6:30pm, with kick off starting at 8pm. All proceeds raised on the night will be going towards Band of Builders.
