APHC to go on the road to run regional workshops

The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) has teamed-up with Baxi to host a series of free technical workshops to be held at various locations across England and Wales.

The workshops will be geared towards the interests of plumbing and heating contractors, and due to differences in legislative developments there will be slightly different agendas for England and Wales.

English technical workshops

Topic 1 – Building Regulations Part L “The Future of Heat: Domestic Buildings”
In this seminar, industry experts will discuss significant changes due to be implemented later this year with regards to an increase in minimum efficiency of new boilers. This is a free workshop that aims to provide attendees with an understanding of the requirements of Part L, Building Regulations (England).

Topic 2 – Apprenticeship & Qualification Updates
APHC is looking to receive opinions during this workshop on content and structure of apprenticeships and qualifications.

Welsh technical workshops

Topic 1 – Advanced Heating Controls
2016 saw significant growth in consumer awareness and demand for advanced heating controls. In this workshop, attendees can hear direct from industry experts on the latest developments and opportunities.

Topic 2 – Qualification Update
Qualification Wales is carrying out a fundamental review around vocational qualifications and how they are offered in Wales. This free workshop enables attendees to have their say and help shape the future for vocational qualifications in Wales.

The workshops will commence at 8:45am and run through until 12:00pm on the following dates:

March 13 – Dartford
March 14 – Taunton
March 15 – Newport
March 27 – Solihull
March 28 – Leeds
March 29 – North Wales
