The stateof the-art facility now includes a new, purpose-built area specifically for candidates attending stove installation refresher courses and re-assessment - the new five-yearly legal requirement for maintaining HETAS registration. This change in legislation means that, from June 2014, any solid fuel domestic heating engineer who hasn't completed a HETAS assessment or refresher course in the past five years must undergo reassessment or risk losing their Competent Person status. For more information, visit www.euroheat.co.uk/training enquiry number 954 A survey of over 100 plumbers and installers at the 2012 PHEX Chelsea exhibition, showed that two thirds were unclear of what the building regulations entailed, whilst two out of five had no idea what the maximum temperature water delivered to a bath fitted with a thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) should be. To combat this, Inta has introduced an e-learning section to its website - detailing the benefits of using a TMV and where they are required. The programme is now being offered as a free education module to City & Guilds accredited colleges and training providers, with another module on the Part G building regulations in the pipeline. It is particularly effective for high rise living and for modern sanitary ware, which mostly requires good water pressure. The Boosterstream pump can be fitted to the supply pipe to increase water pressure, enabling a household to pump up to 12 litres per minute from the mains, increasing the incoming pressure to 3.5 bar in a controlled way. Boosterstream works independently, but if you are also looking to increase flow (volume), then it works well alongside the GAH Coldstream and Dualstream systems. enquiry number 958 Polypipe Ventilation is pleased to announce the launch of its first ever digital System and Product Selector, featuring embedded web links, an easy to use search facility and useful share function. Steve Clarke, group marketing manager, said: “Thousands of drivers fill up every day without realising that their fuel card suppliers have raised prices, imposing an additional transaction charge. Although only a couple of pounds each time, it mounts up.” “We had a lot of calls from van users wanting to switch to us,” said Steve Clarke, “because we have always insisted upon clarity and transparency. Many of these companies told us that they had not been properly informed about the other supplier’s new charges.
