An easy fit is vital too. Roca’s Victoria-T thermostatic shower is just that... With water saving high on the agenda for new build and refurbishment projects alike, it’s becoming increasingly necessary to look beyond issues of bar pressure alone when it comes to installing a shower. Consumers want peace of mind that they are using less water, but without sacrificing on performance. Of course for anyone tasked with installing such products, ease of fitting and maintenance are also key. The Victoria-T thermostatic shower column from Roca offers all of these advantages, making it a popular choice among consumers and installers. Designed to operate with a minimum 0.5 bar pressure, the Victoria-T is a functional and ergonomic eco thermostatic shower column that boasts many safety and water saving benefits. Installed with a height adjustable bracket, the shower has a 200mm overhead shower rose and a 100mm diameter handset on an adjustable height bracket. TECHNICAL BENEFITS Victoria-T is packed full of technical benefits that make it simple for plumbers to meet requirements for water and energy saving, while always putting their customers’ safety first. The shower features a green button that when pressed reduces water flow by 50%, which is perfect for rinsing or cleaning the shower area. It also has a Security 38 red button that prevents the control knob from being turned past 38°C and as the shower is thermostatic the temperature will remain constant. And that’s not all, as the shower’s Safe Touch feature prevents the chrome plating from overheating to eliminate scalding. Helping installers comply with the latest Building Regulations, the product can also be limited to 48°C during installation, in line with Part G. Offering so much more than a standard shower, the Victoria-T from Roca can be installed and fully operational in just a few simple steps. Step one: After first fixing the valve tails, measure them to make sure they are at 150mm centres and 38mm from the face of the tiles. Make sure, prior to installing the valve, that you fully flush the pipework to remove any installation debris Step two: Once you have sealed the gaps around the valve wall connections using silicone and fitted the chrome cover gaps (first ensuring the filter washers are in place), then you can tighten the thermostatic bar mixer onto the connections Step three: Measure 705mm from the bar mixer connections (ensuring your mark is central to the valve) and drill the fixing point for the top riser rail bracket with a six mm masonry bit Step four: Connect together the shower rail ensuring that the centre support bracket is correctly located facing the rear of the rail. Now locate the shower rail into the bar mixer Step five: Once located, you can then adjust the shower rail for plumb front to rear using the adjustable bracket and then tighten the bracket using the allen key to lock the whole assembly into place Step six: Assemble the fixed shower head onto the top rail connection ensuring you use the rubber washer provided. Now assemble the flexible hose and handset and tighten the hose onto the bottom outlet of the bar mixer Step seven: Once you have commissioned the valve, ensure you set up the correct temperature at the temperature limiter stop point of 38ºC - and the Victoria-T is now fully operational and ready to use. 48 DECEMBER 2013 HEATING & PLUMBING MONTHLY enquiry number 148 Step one Step four Step five Step seven Step six Step two Step three
