Featuring FLIR’s patented MSX real-time image enhancement and a touch screen with auto orientation, the camera creates thermal images with details to help identify problem locations easier. The C2’s 4800-pixel resolution high sensitivity detector captures and displays subtle thermal patterns and small temperature differences useful in building applications. The wide 41° field-of-view frames in more of the scene. Plus, the C2 includes a built-in work light. The FLIR C2 can store radiometric JPEGs and can be downloaded later using the free FLIR Tools software. enquiry number 115 Potterton extends Sirius boiler range Potterton Commercial has extended its range of Sirius boilers to offer outputs from 50kW up to 525kW, including new outputs for single floor standing boilers of 400kW and 525kW. Designed with a dual burner configuration, the range offers a modulation ratio of 10:1. The stainless steel, triple pass heat exchanger and compact design make it an energy efficient, cost effective heating solution for large projects. For lighter commercial applications, the range is available in outputs from 50kW to 110kW as a single boiler, and up to 440kW using cascade pipework kits. All Sirius condensing boilers include a five-year parts and labour warranty. enquiry number 116 Fernox showcases new cleaning products at Ecobuild Fernox attended Ecobuild, the event for sustainable design, construction and energy, where it showcased its range of cleaning products, such as the Fernox Cleaner F3 and Powerflushing Cleaner F5, and its Energy Saving Trust approved inhibitor, Fernox Protector F1. New for this year was the Fernox TF1 Delta Filter. Designed specifically for commercial applications, it is suitable for large volume, low temperature heating and cooling systems. It is specifically designed to protect vital components from magnetic and non-magnetic debris as well as removing any trapped air in the system. The filter works by utilising hydrocyclonic action to deliver contaminants to the unit’s specially designed magnet assembly, successfully removing and containing them from the circulating system water. sponsored by CONNECT CONTROL 20 APRIL 2015 HEATING & PLUMBING MONTHLY enquiry number 117 Four pumps featured at Ecobuild for SBS Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS), part of the Travis Perkins Group, has predicted that heat pumps will be a key growth market in the renewable heating industry, with the market likely to more than double over the next three years. To reflect this, the Travis Perkins Group stand at Ecobuild highlighted four new heat pumps, demonstrating the potential of the technology and its place alongside the whole house solutions offered by SBS. The F730 NIBE exhaust air heat pump and Daikin Altherma Monobloc air-to-water heat pump featured on the SBS stand. Further innovation was demonstrated by the Vaillant geoTHERM heat pump, the first wall-hung ground source heat pump, which is ideal for multiple properties, plus the new Ambient Energy Collector designed specifically for the UK market by Solfex. All round warmth with Rinnai Energysaver 309FTR Rinnai’s Energysaver 309FTR fanned convection powered flue space heater features efficiencies in operation and, consequently, reduced running costs. The models deliver consistent warm air without the use of central ductwork or domestic heating circuits. The units, encased in a low surface temperature casing, are swift to warm up. Fully modulating burners mean heat output is reduced as the space warms up and the units are controlled for added economy. The Rinnai Energysaver 309FTR unit turns effective heat generator seasonal efficiencies of almost 92% and offers infra red remote control, a 24-hour digital dual timer with features, self diagnostics and a self learning pre heat time. The smallest space heater in the range, it has an input of 3.4kW and output of 2.92kW/9,963Btu/h and measures 695mm x 465mm x 257mm and a maximum flue length of seven metres. enquiry number 119 enquiry number 118
