NEWPRODUCTS Makita updates its metal working tools range for industry REHAU launches modular manifold REHAU has launched a RAUGEO Click modular manifold system which combines large volume and fast connection with on-site flexibility. It has been designed for use with all REHAU’s ground-source pipework including the RAUGEO PE-Xa, PE and Helix ground source probes, the RAUGEO horizontal collectors and the RAUGEO energy piles. It can be used with any PE or PE-Xa pipes from d20 to d50 and the module body can rotate 90º so it can be operated on both sides to meet the requirements of virtually any site or project. One of the key advantages of the new RAUGEO Click is that it has a 65mm internal diameter which is larger than traditional manifolds and reduces pressure losses thereby increasing system efficiency even in applications with a high volume flow. It is also much faster to assemble on-site than traditional units with a ‘click’ fix connection system which lets installers feel when the bayonet connection is being made and hear an audible click sound when the locking lever fixes into place reassuring them that it is secure. enquiry number 102 Space saving towel rails introduced Dimplex is bringing a touch of style to smaller bathrooms and en-suites, with a new range of compact towel rails available in a choice of three contemporary designs, all with a sparkling chrome finish. The CPTS ‘stepped’ design offers plentiful towel hanging capacity, thanks to its three projecting rungs. However, the design remains sleek, with a depth of just 90mm. The eye-catching CPTC ‘corner’ model has taken a new approach to making the most of small spaces. With its five distinctive circular rungs, this space saver fits tidily into the corner of a bathroom to offer flexible towel drying and hanging capacity. For rooms where space is at a premium, the CPTF ‘flat’ towel rail is just 400mm wide and 70mm deep, with shorter-length brackets for mounting close to the wall. All models are low wattage. Geocel puts its new foam on air Geocel has launched a new solution to some of the most common air leakage points. AIRBLOCK Flexible Foam is said to be the only air leakage foam seal on the market that is tested to the latest standards and offers a versatile solution to filling voids to improve energy efficiency. AIRBLOCK Flexible foam helps fill voids and seal the gaps where air leakage most commonly occurs – where building services enter and leave the building (such as electrical cables vents and pipes), gaps around windows and doors, around suspended floors and loft hatches, even through light fixtures. Because it is a high performance polyurethane foam, it will fill and seal most construction materials and remains flexible to absorb movement after it has cured. It can be cut, sawn, sanded, painted or plastered over after application. AIRBLOCK is tested in accordance with EN 12114 – Air Permeability of Building Components and Building Elements. In addition, it is Acoustic Rated to EN ISO717-1 (tested to 60DB), Fire Rated to DIN4102-1 and Driving Rain tested to EN1027, making it the ultimate “safety first” foam. Geocel also supplys one metre long applicator guns to allow the foam to get to hard-to-reach places. Transforming gas safety inspections Easy Safety Cert is a mobile app and online database that offers a quick and easy way to create, send and store gas safety inspections. The hassle free app allows engineers to complete gas safety records, warning notices and electrical cross bonding records on the job and automatically emails them to clients. The system is designed to remove as much data entry as possible using menus and automatically generates warning notices and cross bonding records with the job details. Easy Safety Cert provides a user-friendly and secure online database that automatically sets 12-month inspection reminders, stores completed certificates along with client and job details. The database also provides a job management system allowing users to allocate inspection jobs to their team and track completed inspections. The app is available free on iPhone.
