The Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) has published its 2017 programme of one-day plumbing and heating training courses.

The training programme includes one-day courses on water regulations, Legionella cold water risk assessment and disinfection, sanitary and above ground drainage, and wet room design and installation.

The courses are delivered at APHC’s centrally located offices in the West Midlands and are open to all plumbing and heating businesses in England and Wales.  However, if plumbing and heating

businesses have a requirement of eight or more employees needing to attend a course, then APHC can deliver its programme of one-day courses off-site at an employer’s premises, or at a suitable local location.

Graeme Dryden, technical services manager, said: “I can’t emphasise enough just how important it is for plumbers and heating engineers to keep up-to-date with new technologies and to develop their existing skills. Not just from a safety and compliance point of view, but also from a commercial point to ensure they have the skills to capitalise on growing markets. For example, the wet rooms market is forecast to increase by 34% between 2014 and 2019, making it the fastest growing sector of the UK bathroom market.”

APHC’s sister company APHC Training, a registered charity, will be offering a new reward scheme in 2017 which will allow a limited number of plumbing and heating companies to claim a significant contribution towards the cost of an APHC one-day course.

The 2017 training programme can be found on APHC’s website at: www.aphc.co.uk/training_information.asp. For further information or to make a booking phone APHC on: 0121 711 5030 or send an email to: training@aphc.co.uk.
