Honeywell has launched the next generation of programmable thermostat, the Lyric T6, which provides installers with an easy-to-install, flexible, energy efficient heating control. The thermostat also gives homeowners the flexibility to control their comfort from wherever they are, through a dedicated Lyric app.
Designed to feature all the best elements of today’s modern home products, the thermostat can be managed remotely via tablet or smartphone, has integrated Wi-Fi-connectivity, uses universal icons and a modern touchscreen display, and offers smart energy saving features.
The Lyric T6 also includes location-based temperature control (geo-fencing) to sense when the homeowner is leaving or returning to the property and adjust the heating accordingly. It’s also easier and faster for the professional to install than previous programmable thermostat models and is compatible with Apple HomeKit*, enabling the product to be controlled using an Apple** or Android device.

Installation has been made even simpler thanks to the flip-up wiring bar, clearly labeled terminals and strain relief, making wiring the receiver box easy. Once installed, set-up is straightforward, the installer is guided through the configuration process with either the modern touch screen or remotely via the intuitive Lyric app, which also detects if all the components are connected correctly.
The programmable thermostat can be used with any boiler or application as a room temperature control in an S Plan or Y Plan system, and it will also control underfloor heating manifolds. Available in both the wall-mounted-wired and the wireless models, Lyric T6 is suitable for new installations or upgrades. OpenTherm connectivity is available in both models, optionally generating even more system advantages, and the programmable thermostat includes features such as, optimum start, stop, delayed-start and Time Proportional and Integral control boiler to help drive energy efficiency savings for homeowners.
Lyric T6 provides flexible temperature control with pre-configured and customised scheduling made to adapt to the homeowner’s dynamic and unpredictable lifestyle. Many settings are available to suit the customer’s needs, such as away modes and seven-day, 5/2 day and single day combined time and temperature control with up to six time periods per day.
