OFTEC freezes registration fees
Despite the slow thaw in the economy, OFTEC has frozen the cost of registration for the rest of 2010.
This means that individual technician registration fees valid for five-years work out at only £144 per year, or £12 per month.
To help new applicants spread the cost of training and registration, OFTEC is now offering a one-year introductory registration option, which costs £280. After the one-year offer, technicians can renew using the five-year registration option.
Five-year registration fees can also now be paid by direct debit over a 10-month period, helping with cash flow and budgeting.
OFTEC registered technicians can self certify their own work, avoiding costly building notices. They can notify jobs quickly using OFTEC’s online works notification system, ensuring the customer receives a certificate of compliance. Registered technicians also have access to free technical advice, and regular updates on industry news and legislation.
